Florida

Due to technical difficulties I wasn't able to post any more pictures during out trip to Florida, sorry. All things considered, we had a really great trip and it was awesome to get the chance to just spend a week together without work and all that stuff. Here are some pictures from our last few days

Helping Jackson cool off...

Things are getting back to normal here I guess. I went into work a few days this week and painted my room and started getting things organized, and I'm looking forward to getting started again. I officially report back to school next week, so I am trying to spend the rest of this week cleaning, organizing and hanging out with Jackson.

Hit the road Jack...

Ok, we are leaving tomorrow for Florida. I am pretty sure the place where we are staying has wi-fi, so if I can I will just post pictures daily instead of posting something big when we get back. I'm seriously bummed that I am going to be missing out on the Lovelend reunion while I am gone, but hopefully those of you reading this will post some pics of the festivities so I can see them! (Tell Karen and everyone I said "HI"). Anyway, we're packing up and heading out early in the morning, so here are some pictures from Jackson's trip with my mom to gulf shores last year.

This is Jackson's tan line from last summer...he is already darker this year!

Happy Anniversary!

Today is our 1st wedding anniversary. I'm very proud of us. Sometimes I look at my husband and I can't believe we are actually married. That after all we've been through, we actually made it. I have no doubt in my mind that Josh and I can make it through anything and I am so blessed for that. God gave us a second chance to for that I am eternally grateful. I can honestly say that this year has been the most difficult and most fulfilling year I think I have experienced to date; and despite the challenges, I am happier than I have ever been.
Well...Josh and I were going to do one of those corny slideshows at our wedding of us as we were growing up and all that junk, but we didn't get to do it because of some last minute technical issues. I particularly wanted to do it because Josh and I have such anawesome story and history together. There were so many things stacked against us, but here we are...So, I recreated the wedding slide show (embarrassing childhood photos and all) and I put some pics from this year in it as well. It is a bit long, sorry about that, but I hope you enjoy a little glimpse into our crazy story...

Have money, will spend

So, Jackson's been on this kick lately of wanting to do laundry!?!?!?!?!? Its odd, but believe me I welcome his offer to help with it. Well today he took a whole load of laundry out of the washer and put it into the dryer for me and in the process he found some money. Well, since I was proud of his willingness to help out I told him he could keep what he found. To make a long story a little shorter we went to dinner tonight and their happened to be an arcade across the street. Now, I'm not a fan of arcades because I've never been all that good at arcade games, and I end up spending more money than necessary to buy Jackson little pieces of junk that he looses in a day. Well, we ended up there anyway (we were celebrating the last day of summer school BTW!) and Jackson had such a good time with it, he played for forever just trying to find the games that would give him the most tickets. He and Josh goofed around forever playing silly arcade games and racing each other on motorcycles until we finally made him leave. We left the arcade the proud owners of a new hacky-sac, a pair of vampire fangs, a yellow plastic parachute man and 3 green army men. My bet is that the army men and parachute man are gone before lunch tomorrow and the vampire teeth have vanished by Sunday at the latest. Oh well, at least he enjoyed himself and got to celebrate the last day of summer school. Oh yeah, he would like everyone to know that his team, the Green Team were the proud winners of field day. Racing motorcycles...

Always a thinker...

Jackson fell off of some playground equipment today and he scraped up his knee pretty bad in the process. When we were walking over to a bench to clean it up I asked him "does it hurt bad enough that we need to cut it off?" Through his tears he managed to look at me and say, "Mom you can't just cut my knee off. My leg wouldn't bend anymore and I would look really silly walking around with my shin sewn onto my thigh." Yep, my boy's a thinker...
